About Illume Studio

Timeless natural photography that lets you stay in the moment and revisit it for years to come.

Illume Studio exists for couples who want something more than just beautiful images. You want a wedding day that feels like you, not a production. And you want to remember it through photographs that hold real emotion—not just staged perfection. We specialize in unobtrusive, story-driven wedding photography that prioritizes presence, connection, and ease. Our work is timeless by design and intentional by nature. If you're looking for photos that feel honest, calm, and deeply personal, you're in the right place.

Our Purpose

Your wedding day shouldn’t feel like a photo shoot. It should feel like your life—beautiful, unfiltered, and fully your own. We’re here to support that experience by stepping in when it helps, stepping back when it’s better, and delivering images that feel grounded in truth, not styled perfection.

At Illume Studio, photography is more than a deliverable. It's a responsibility: to preserve feeling, to protect the pace of the day, and to create space where our clients can be fully themselves. We're motivated by the quiet satisfaction of knowing we've told the truth beautifully—without interrupting the experience.

Our vision is simple: to be a calm, capable, and trusted presence in a world of over-orchestration. One that helps you slow down, breathe, and remember what's real.

Why We Started

Illume Studio was born out of a desire to do things differently—to reject the idea that wedding photography needs to be loud, pushy, or overproduced. Paul Reynolds, our founder and lead photographer, had seen how often couples were pulled out of their own experience in service of "the shot." And he knew there was a better way.

So he built a studio on a different kind of foundation: trust, ease, and honest storytelling. The goal was never just to take great photos. It was to create a calm, intentional experience that lets couples live fully in their day—and come away with images that feel timeless because they are.

Our Approach to Availability

To do this work well, we keep it intentionally small.

Our founder and principal photographer, Paul Reynolds, personally photographs no more than 10 weddings per year. This limited availability allows him to bring more presence, creative focus, and intention to every couple he works with.

For couples who resonate with the Illume aesthetic and values but may have different scheduling or budget needs, we also offer associate photographer coverage. Isaac, our associate, shares the same thoughtful approach and documentary style that defines the studio.

Whether you work with Paul or an Illume associate, the experience is calm, custom, and deeply rooted in emotional presence—not pressure.

Paul Reynolds

Founder & Lead Photographer

With over a decade of experience, Paul's presence on a wedding day is marked by quiet confidence, emotional intuition, and a deeply organized approach.

He doesn’t chase moments. He anticipates them. He doesn’t over-direct. He knows when to guide and when to give space. Paul works best with couples who value authenticity, emotional presence, and natural storytelling. His images are often described as warm, honest, and deeply reflective of the day itself.

Illume Photographer

Isaac’s presence on a wedding day is both steady and engaging. He works with quiet intensity, but his dry wit and relaxed direction quickly put couples at ease. He’s not one to draw attention, yet somehow he’s always in the right place at the right time—ready for the fleeting moments that matter most.

From inventive portraits to the energy of a packed dance floor, Isaac has a gift for seeing things as they happen and preserving them with honesty. His work naturally flows with the Illume philosophy: letting the day unfold and capturing it with clarity and care.
